It all started in 2006 when Verna Kirk was approached by apartment Owners at the V&A Waterfront Marina Residential Estate to start her own Sectional Title Managing Agency. As the Marina development reached critical mass, the Owners recognised the need for a sectional title Managing Agent who was independent from the Developer. Verna was in the employ of the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront (Pty) Ltd as their Senior Property Manager and had been appointed to manage its prestigious residential portfolio since its inception, in 2001.

Verna Kirk was requested to establish an independent company to oversee the financial, administrative and management aspects of the Marina's property portfolio. Verna Kirk Properties CC was established in 2007. Loving a challenge, Verna leapt at the opportunity and now manages some of the world's most sought after residential properties.

Verna Kirk holds the Paddocks/UCT Scheme Management Certificate (2005) and the company is a member of the National Association of Managing Agents (NAMA), the Estate Agents' Affairs Board and carries PIMA indemnity insurance.
